About Dr. Edwin Williams

Dr. Williams is a physician of academic distinction, holding two Board certifications – in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as Otolaryngology. He is also an experienced businessman who has established a growing practice with 75 employees. While Dr. Williams prides himself on being and an outstanding doctor and surgeon, he is absolutely passionate about mentoring.

His wealth of clinical experience dates back to 1993 with the founding of Williams Center Plastic Surgery Specialists. However, through a career spanning three decades, he has created, purchased, run, merged, and sold dozens of businesses. In addition to his significant medical prowess, Dr. Williams is also known for strategic decision-making which has grown his practice into a sustainable enterprise. He is well-respected by colleagues for acumen in business development strategy, practice development, and building a succession plan.

At a peer level, Dr. Williams presents at national and international conferences, lecturing on facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty. He served on the Board of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for over a decade and was the President from 2016-2017. He is also Clinical Professor of Surgery at Albany Medical College.

In 2016, 2017 and 2018, Dr. Williams earned the Castle Connelly Top Doctors award in New York for Facial Plastic Surgery. He is renowned among colleagues for his business knowledge and is often sought for industry advice.

Former Fellows call Dr. Williams a consummate and gifted teacher. Over the course of his illustrious career, he has formally mentored hundreds of physicians in the areas of practice growth, acquisition, and exit strategy.

Dr. Williams is a happily married father of four. He loves teaching physicians who want a little more out of life than what they learned in medical school and residency about business development and life balance.
