  1. You need to get active in your county medical society and network in your own neighborhood.
  2. The county medical society can help you with dermatology issues, create resolutions, and can often take them to the state level to become a mission and then to become a law.
  3. When the whole state is behind a mission, the legislators listen.
  4. It’s important to get face time with congressional leaders, fellow dermatologists, and state leaders. They will remember you, and that will help you in the future.
